The YARD Platform Update v1.20 was released for better interoperability of YARD Javascript, YARD WordPress Plugin, and YARD Hosted. These remote integration methods allow customers to interact with the YARD platform using their IT environments. For example, you can show a constant stream of business events on any website using the YARD Calendar. The updated functionalities:
- Security enhancements: iframes are no longer used for displaying the events calendar, leading to greater security for website owners and less friction for calendar users.
- Separation of styling from content: the design of the calendar is now not influencing the design of websites which use any integration,
- Optimization: loading performance increased by simplification of calling process.
- Additional modes available: end users can now toggle between list mode, grid mode, and details mode.
The latest YARD Platform update lays the groundwork not just to discover events, but also to prepare for the launch of upcoming products (for example to sync business events from customers' own content management system between YARD in both directions).
Customers of YARD Javascript and YARD Hosted will automatically receive the update v1.20, while users of the YARD WordPress Plugin need to install the latest plugin (download link see plugin page).
Customers of YARD Javascript can now move a calendar integration on any of their webpages freely around, as calling the YARD script and calendar positioning was logically separated.
