The Young Academic Award, hosted by the World Alliance of International Financial Centers, invites early-career researchers to contribute papers or essays exploring the future of a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient financial sector. The award focuses on how global finance is transforming through digital innovation, artificial intelligence, distributed ledger technologies, and a growing emphasis on sustainability, financial inclusion, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Submissions are welcomed across a broad range of themes including climate and sustainability finance, social impact and inclusion, digital finance and technology, and the future of talent and skills in financial centers. Selected finalists are invited to present their research at the World Alliance Annual General Meeting, with travel support provided, and compete for monetary prizes awarded to the top three papers, recognizing outstanding academic contributions with direct relevance to international financial centers worldwide.
