Corporate Masterclass: Stablecoins – from Concept to Bank Implementation

Tue April 7, 2026 09:00-11:00
🇩🇰 Copenhagen (Denmark)
This event will take place in 5 weeks.

Description

This masterclass is an exclusive session designed for corporate partners of Copenhagen Fintech to dive into how stablecoins are transitioning from theoretical ideas into real, regulated financial instruments that banks and financial institutions must prepare for. Stablecoins are increasingly becoming integrated into the financial system as digital money, driven by new regulatory frameworks such as the EU’s MiCA and the U.S. GENIUS Act, marking the start of a regulated era for digital currencies. The session will explain what stablecoins are, the problems they solve, why they matter now, and how they are reshaping payments and digital money infrastructure around the world.

The program includes a foundational introduction to blockchain, crypto, and stablecoins, followed by a deeper discussion on why major European banks, including a collaborative initiative led by Danske Bank, are issuing their own stablecoins and what outcomes they expect. Participants will also get insights into how banks should view stablecoins, where market infrastructure is heading, and what strategic, operational, and regulatory implications these developments have for financial institutions. The masterclass is primarily in-person with an option for online participation and aims to equip attendees with a shared understanding of this transformative area of digital finance.
