The Frankfurt Competence Center for German and Global Regulation (FCCR) and Universität Göttingen are hosting this conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and market regulation. Day one is dedicated to the technical development and regulatory reaction. Day two is about two specific challenges of protecting competition. One is the potential conflict between competition and industrial-policy interests, the other one the need to keep markets open despite the concentrated control of key inputs and risks that incumbents entrench or extend their existing power. The second panel on day one is organized in cooperation with Vereinigung für das gesamte Regulierungsrecht, the second day is the annual on-site event of the German ASCOLA Chapter.
