Events are now linked to a standardized geographic hierarchy:<\/p><ul><li>City \u2192 State \u2192 Country \u2192 Region<\/li><li>Duplicate spellings are unified under consistent, searchable entries.<\/li><li>Users can now find events better everywhere, including in states.<\/li><li>Locations include additional metadata, such as translations into German.<\/li><\/ul><p>Events are now also assigned to states and regions, making targeted browsing possible \u2014 for instance, viewing <a href=\"\/events\/?mode=tiles&amp;state=Bavaria\">business events in Bavaria<\/a>.<\/p><p>This improved location system is more than just a technical improvement. It lays the groundwork for the\u00a0<a href=\"\/products\/\">products<\/a> to support additional languages beyond English \u2014 starting with German.
